Introduction

For Avie to successfully create an AI avatar of you, please follow these guidelines. Do not worry that you will "burn through" your minutes with multiple uploads to create an ideal base video. Contact us and we will add more minutes for you.

We recommend watching an example video below first before you begin reading the rest of this guide.

Video Guidelines

  • Include "silence" portions that are between 2 to 3 seconds between segments.

    • Completely close your mouths, touch your lip and keep your head still during "silence",

  • Keep your hands below the base of your neck.

    • You can make symmetric hand gestures.

    • Do not make asymmetric hands (e.g. waving "Hi" with just one hand).

  • There should only be one face in the video and it should be centered.

    • Do not make highly exaggerated head gestures such as moving into and out of the camera aggressively.

  • We require a minimum of 1 minute of video and ideally 2 minutes of video for the AI to capture your likeness.

  • The maximum length of a video you can upload is 5 minutes.

  • Throughout the video's length, the lighting of your room should not change. This could happen for example if a cloud passes by.

  • Upload a single take video with no editing.

    • Do not edit your videos by stitching multiple videos with different backgrounds or different clothing.

  • Do not occlude your face with your hands or any other object.

  • Cut your video such that you immediately speaking from the very first second of the video.

  • The video resolution must be a minimum 1280 pixels (width) by 720 pixels (height).

Audio Guidelines

  • Record audio in a quiet room with no clicks or background noises (such as a fan).

  • Speaking louder is encouraged vs. speaking too softly.
